Toy Adventures is operated and was created by Steve Hsu. Steve Hsu is a toy collec....wait a minute...you don't wanna hear that corporate style, 3rd person dribble...here is the 411 on Toy Adventures, straight from creator.

Hi. I started out as your average collector buying pieces here and there whenever I saw them in Wal-Marts and Targets of the world. I would usually buy 3 of any given toy/collectible... 1 to open, 1 to put away, and 1 to sell to pay for the other 2 I kept.

However, I soon realized that buying cases of toys would save me some dough, thus I began buying Mcfarlanes Sportspicks, Star Wars Saga figures, and other toys in cases from online retailers and eventually from the wholesale distributors. On one hand it was great to get the variants and short-pack items, but on the other, I was now stuck with multiples of things I did not need for my collection.

Initially, I began selling the extra items via Ebay ( ahhhhh....glorious Ebay, where one can spend $12 for a RARE VHTF MIB Star Wars C-3P0 Pez dispenser). But then I realized that Ebay was not quick enough and took a tad too much time, so I tried my hand at some toy shows and that was a BLAST! Let me tell you, setting up and selling at a toy show is AWESOME. You get to meet a plethora of different toy collectors and fans.

Anyway, all the people that would visit me at the show would always ask if I had a store ( I sometimes wish I did...but then take it back given all the overhead a store carries) or a website. I would always respond, " Sorry, I'm only selling at shows and Ebay." Then they would leave my table with a sort of...oh well, too bad...kinda look.

Oooooh ya.....I forgot to tell you about me.....well...I work at a 9-6 job in the toy industry ( surprise surprise there ;-). I update the site by hand using a HTML editor and fulfill 90% of the the products myself. If it seems that the new products have not been appearing on the site soon enough or the the qty in inventory details needs quicker updating, please bear with me since I am the only one updating the site. This will eventually change (hopefully) when I integrate a better e-commerce system with the site that has a fully functioning database.
